Tour de Force -- Killer Aboard. Episode # 196. Season Nine, Originally Aired: Oct. 28, 1976.

After some pasrty-faced tourists give some landing cheer, a CIA op is found dead in the back of a plane. It turns out the murder is connected to some assassination attempt on some Kuwati bigwigs--McGarrett is steamed at how little Five-O has been told! The killer, to me, seems like a pure creep killer as he seems to go after pretty women as well. (Unlike other Five-O assassins who are quiet in hotel rooms.) A throwaway interrogation scene where somebody calls Chin "Charlie Chan." Surprised it was not called back with accents and "Number One Son" references. It seems like McGarrett is sending rookie cop Sandi Welles to her death asking her to get the assassin undercover. And, she survives with no thanks to Five-O! She's taken as a hostage, the assassin goes to the hotel for the hit where he is foiled in time for the signature hotel-dive.

Highlight: Chin pronouncing "Wisconsin" as "Winsconsin"--sort of like a poem I read somewhere . . .
